Leaking Jobs Off Platform

Whether it’s during the offer stage, or after you’ve been assigned a job, taking jobs off the AntWorker platform is not supported. Every Worker should have a fair go when it comes to submitting an offer, and preventing another Worker’s ability to do that creates an unfair environment.

Taking jobs off platform may seem like you’re saving money on Worker Service Fees, however it will cost you more in the long run. If certain users aren’t contributing to the shared costs of running the marketplace, the costs will have to increase overall.

In addition, repeatedly cancelling jobs may result in you gaining a poor star rating and profile review impacting your ability to win work, or result in your account being suspended or banned.

4. Pricing, fees and payments

We understand that everybody wants a safe and rewarding environment. So it’s important to understand how pricing and payments work on AntWorker.

  • Offer prices When you make an offer, it must represent the total amount for that job. Offers must not be hourly, unit or quote based. Partial quotes mentioning further negotiation of prices off the platform are also not permitted.
  • AntWorker Payment Account For safety reasons, cash payments are not supported on the AntWorker platform. Instead, to ensure that you are paid in full the AntWorker Payment Account securely holds the job funds received from the poster until you mark the job as complete.
  • Accurate banking details To ensure seamless payment of funds, please ensure your banking details remain up to date at all times in your Payment Settings. In some circumstances, in order to comply with KYC (Know Your Customer) regulations, our payment provider, Payfast(Yoco), routinely flags user accounts that may require additional verification. You can learn more about Stripe’s KYC process here.
  • Cancellation Fee: As set out in our terms and conditions, if you cancel a job after a Customer has assigned it to you and are found responsible for that cancellation, you will be charged a Cancellation Fee that will be deducted from your next payment payout(s).

5. Accountability and your reputation

If you booked someone to get a job done, you would expect that they would honour that arrangement to get it done right? Of course! That’s why we have policies that set out important guardrails to give Customers confidence that the job will be done and for Workers, like you, to have a positive experience. These include:

  • Fulfilment of job requirements: Workers are expected to carry out the services as agreed with the Customer.
  • Managing other Workers involved
    • If you are assigned to the job, you are responsible for the actions of any Workers you arrange to assist you to complete the Customer Job.
    • You must obtain Customer consent to subcontract any of the services. You also must ensure that any subcontractor assisting you has an AntWorker user account. Please note that subcontractors are not covered by AntWorker Third Party Liability insurance.
    • For jobs completed in-person, you must attend to check that the job requirements are met even if you requested other Workers to assist with the job.
  • The experience you provide for other members
    • Ratings and Reviews: Customers are able to provide a review on all jobs, including cancelled jobs. Cancellations affect your ability to win work on the platform by reducing your star rating and reliability scores.
    • Suspensions: Repeatedly cancelling jobs may result in your account being suspended. Account suspensions can range from a temporary suspension to permanently cancelling your account.

6. Account eligibility

We know you’re super keen to set up an account and get working, but you need to meet the following requirements:

  • 18 years or older All members of the AntWorker community must be 18 years or older. This is a legal requirement as people under the age of 18 are not able to enter a legal contract with AntWorker. AntWorker reserves the right to request proof of age.
  • Legal working rights All Workers must be legally entitled to perform the job.
  • No duplicate accounts Each member of the AntWorker Community may only have one account on the platform. As your account reflects your reputation on the marketplace and represents your skills and abilities, any duplicate accounts attempting to disguise a member’s history will be removed immediately. This means that all content posted by additional or duplicate accounts will be removed and any associated job contracts will be cancelled.

7. Account administration

Now that you understand a little more about AntWorker, we have some important information regarding accounts.

  • No account transfers Your account is your responsibility and you must maintain control of it. It must not be transferred to another person as your account and reviews reflect your skills and abilities.
  • No duplicate accounts Workers may only have a single account on the platform. As your account reflects your reputation in the marketplace and represents your skills and abilities, any duplicate accounts attempting to disguise a member’s history will be removed immediately and banned from any future account creation.
  • Cooperating with other members for the AntWorker Community and AntWorker Staff Where members of the AntWorker Community or AntWorker Staff reach out to request information, both Posters and Workers are required to promptly respond within a reasonable timeframe.
