AntWorker Insurance Protection
What is included?
AntWorker Insurance is a third-party liability policy that covers Workers registered in the AntWorker marketplace for their liability to third parties for personal injury or property damage while performing activities (not otherwise excluded) during a task on AntWorker up to R10 million (to the equivalent value of R10 million in your local currency). To be eligible for this Insurance Policy, jobs must have been booked, allocated, and completed on the AntWorker marketplace.
AntWorker Insurance does not provide coverage for all actions or activities. For further details, please see the list of prohibited acts.
The liability insurance is based on claims made and notified, which means that the policy limits, terms, and conditions that apply to a notified claim are those of the current policy period when the claim is notified, not when the claim happens (if outside the current policy period). These may differ from the liability insurance terms and conditions in effect when the work contract was signed if the policy duration was also different. Claims must be filed within 30 calendar days of the occurrence date.
All coverage is subject to the terms and conditions of the policy, and there are exclusions.
What isn’t included?
Some jobs or actions are not covered by the policy. Please see the list of prohibited activities for further information on which actions are prohibited.
Individuals who do not have an AntWorker account are not protected by the insurance coverage. Please confirm that the individual who completes your work is registered on AntWorker and is the person to whom your assignment has been given.
To be qualified for coverage, tasks must be completed and paid for through the AntWorker platform, according to insurance terms and conditions. Any work paid for in a different way (including cash in hand) will not be covered.
Claims resulting from task subcontracting will not be covered by the insurer.
The insurance only covers a Worker’s responsibility for property damage or injury caused by activities (unless expressly excluded) and does not cover faulty workmanship. Before accepting an offer, Job Posters should inquire with the Worker about their workmanship standards and any insurance coverage.
The coverage does not cover criminal activity, malicious or deliberate damage. Please notify the police and AntWorker Support as soon as possible if this occurs.
The coverage does not cover personal injury or damage to the Worker’s property and should not be used in place of workers compensation, salary protection, or other comparable forms of insurance.
